Each print starts as a photograph. From there, I work through it by hand in HueForge, choosing the filaments, building the colour profiles, and setting the layer transitions needed to turn the image into plastic. What comes out depends on the materials, the lighting, the contrast, and a fair bit of judgement. Every piece is tuned individually until it prints the way it should.
The gallery includes portraits, pets, landscapes, and other subjects that suit this process. Images with strong contrast and useful colour variation tend to produce the best results, but the subject matter itself also plays a major role in how the finished print comes out.
